Quick Tea or Slow Simmer?
Leaves and flowers just need a quick soak. Roots and bark need to simmer a lot longer to give anything up.

Curie's fourth rule: the method has to match the plant part. A delicate leaf steeped hot for ten minutes makes a good tea — that same short soak does almost nothing for a tough root, which needs a real simmer before it releases what's inside.
About Cottage Core Curie
Went and got a real chemistry degree specifically because people kept waving off home-remedy knowledge as "just old wives' tales." She wanted the credentials to say the science was real without needing anyone's permission. Her apron does real work — tool loops, sample pockets, a stain she's stopped bothering to remove — and her mortar and pestle has a personality earned from genuine, decades-long use.
