The Spoon Test
Dip the spoon. Freeze it a minute. Too soft, more wax. Too firm, more oil.
Curie's own beginner method for a first salve: melt infused oil and beeswax together, then test a spoonful in the freezer before committing the whole batch. Check before you pour — same trick bakers and candlemakers use.
